We opened in September 2004 and the provision is held in one of the portacabins in
the school playground. At our last Ofsted inspection we received a Outstanding grading
at this setting. There are five staff who work at this provision and we are open
for the children of both the Infant and Junior Schools. At Abacus we follow the EYFS
and plan daily for the children. On offer at the provision are small world toys,
games, Xbox or play station, Lego, creative activities, home corner, books, larger
equipment and we have use of outdoor space daily. Only the children of Squirrels
Heath Infant and Junior Schools can attend this setting as we do not collect from
other sites. This does mean that children can attend the after school clubs run by
the school providing the relevant forms are completed and we will then collect them
and bring them to the setting. The only activity we cannot take your child to is
inflatable day.
